Capstone Project Evaluator

Profesor Rios enjoys very much to be a Capstone Project Evaluator invited by  Dr. Wyne Morgan.

This opportunity allows him to teach the students the minimun requirements of an award winning project, that would be interesting for investors.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS for Award Winning Projects:

  2. Management team.
  3. Barrier to entry.
  4. Growth strategy via franchising.

Teaching - Workshops Provided to Students

  • How to develop award winning projects (patent search, improving existing products).
  • Learning how to use Mnemonics to remember anything you want, eg.  resistor color code.
  • How to use the ELVIS II and Quartus a development tool for circuit development with FPGA.
  • How to design and maintain dental equipment (dental turbines, autoclave, suction pump, dental chair, Panoramic X-ray).
  • Senior projects development, a video presenting previous senior projects, an inspiration to new students.
  • Hl7 and access to medical data.

Teaching - Service Activities

The professor Rios help local business to stablish registered apprenticeship with the department education to stablish a network of suitable places where students can do the 8.000 hours required by the State of Florida of working hours to the students have access to the Journeyman test.

  • Involved in the ETAC of ABET Programmatic Accreditation.
  • Assist Dean in development of Syllabus for all engineering classes.

Outside of the organization

  • I am volunteer at Cleveland Clinic, and biomedical companies to train students from within those organization to have real life hands on experience. This idea have proven to be a total success because students have been hired by GE even before they graduate.
  • Developed the current Internship with Cleveland Clinic.
